Pricing is based on volumetric weight — we take the higher of your actual weight or the dimensional weight calculated as L×W×H ÷ 5000. This is then combined with the distance between origin and destination cities to determine the base freight charge. Additional components like door pickup/delivery charges, handling fees for multiple pieces, perishable surcharges, and optional insurance are added transparently. The full breakdown is shown to you before payment — what you see is what you pay, with no hidden surcharges.

When our pickup agent collects your parcel, they weigh and measure it on the spot. If the actual dimensions or weight differ from your booking by more than 10%, the system recalculates the price and sends you a notification with the revised amount. You can review the new price and choose to approve it or cancel the booking entirely for a full refund. Your parcel will not move forward in transit until you confirm — this ensures you are never charged more than expected without your explicit consent.

No, you can book as a guest without creating an account. The only verification required is a one-time phone OTP sent to the sender's mobile number — this secures the booking and enables tracking notifications via SMS and WhatsApp. If you do choose to create an account or log in with Google, you get access to a personal dashboard where you can view all your past and active shipments, save frequently used addresses, and rebook previous routes with one tap.

HushBus accepts a wide range of non-hazardous cargo including legal documents, electronics (laptops, phones, tablets), clothing and fabric rolls, packaged food items, automobile spare parts, medicines and medical supplies, household goods like kitchenware and home decor, e-commerce returns, office equipment, and business samples. Items are categorized at booking time so our agents apply the right handling — fragile stickers for breakables, flat storage for documents, and secure wrapping for electronics. Flammable, explosive, corrosive, and illegal items are strictly not accepted.

For bookings placed before 12 PM on trunk routes (like Hyderabad–Vijayawada or Hyderabad–Visakhapatnam), we offer same-day dispatch — your parcel goes on the next available bus. Most inter-city deliveries within Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are completed within 24 to 48 hours. Longer corridors like Hyderabad to Bangalore or Chennai typically take 48 to 72 hours. You receive real-time milestone updates at every stage — pickup, loading, in-transit, arrived at destination hub, and out for delivery — so you always know where your parcel is.

Yes. If you cancel before our agent picks up the parcel, you receive a full refund with no deductions. After pickup, cancellation follows APSRTC slab-based refund rules: up to 48 hours before dispatch you get 75% back, 24–48 hours gives 50%, and within 24 hours gives 25%. Modifications to the receiver's address, phone number, or shipping date are free of charge as long as the parcel has not yet been dispatched. You can manage all of this from your dashboard or by contacting our support team.

Every shipment on HushBus includes basic transit coverage at no extra cost, protecting against loss or damage during transport. For high-value items (electronics, jewelry, important documents), you can opt for additional insurance at checkout — the premium is just 0.5% of the declared goods value with a minimum of ₹5. If your goods are valued above ₹50,000, we require a valid identity document (Aadhaar, PAN, or Driving License) for KYC compliance. Insurance claims are processed within 7 business days of filing.

Once your booking is confirmed, you receive a unique tracking ID via SMS and WhatsApp. You can enter this ID on our Track page (hushbus.online/cargo/track) to see the full status — including a progress stepper showing each milestone, a detailed timeline of every handover event, and the current location of your parcel. The tracking page also stores your recent searches locally so you can quickly re-check previous shipments. Every status change — from pickup to loading, transit, arrival, and delivery — triggers an automatic notification to both sender and receiver.
